The name of the installation stems from a famous philosophical argument made by G.E Moore in his 1939 essay Proof of an External World. The argument did not leave Ludwig Wittgenstein alone even in his last years. In his posthumously published work On Certainty, Wittgenstein devoted many paragraphs to analyzing Moore's argument and reflecting on the hands. Hands which for Witgenstein, related to the history of his family, were ultimately more than just a means of testimony.
Installation is looping between two dia frames, each depicting a hand.
